Afterwards, he and a few others must go reinforce the northern approach to the village where Martin must take out another tank. Martin must acquire a Panzerfaust from the church to destroy it. The third mission begins when they manage to hold off the town until early morning, when the soldiers are suddenly attacked by German mortar fire, infantry, and a tank. A paratrooper is seen hanging from the town church. They also disable several Flakpanzers (anti-aircraft tanks). In the next mission, the group then fights to capture Sainte-Mère-Église. The game falls so short of its genre companions that it’s hard to recommend it to anyone, in spite of its beautiful aesthetic. makes the gameplay miserable models and animations are stiff, and physics critical to completing puzzles are so woefully uncalibrated that much of the game feels like you’re stacking boxes and hoping for the best. Hello Neighbor is unpolished to the point that it feels unfinished. I often spent double-digit attempts trying to get boxes in the right formation so I could use them to make a jump, which became a long, drawn-out affair since the neighbor kept catching me anytime I screwed up, forcing me back to another part of the map. Unfortunately, the physics for these objects are wonky at best. This means stacking them or hurling them through windows. A number of puzzles often require you to use objects, like cardboard boxes, to reach other places. Though the house the neighbor builds across every act is impressively zany, the inside of the house often feel like dull test chambers, with a lot of blank wall space and uninspired decoration. You can slow him down by hurling objects at him, but he’s unkillable and unpredictable. He’s constantly patrolling the grounds of his estate and will hunt you down the moment he hears or sees you. The Neighbor functions like monsters in Amnesia or the Alien in Alien Isolation. Those annoyances become a fatal flaw once the titular neighbor gets involved. This is fine enough on paper, but the layout of the house means you’ll be constantly backtracking and searching for clues, opening drawers and looking beneath beds for that one key or object you need to get to the next segment. These puzzles err on the side of loony, recalling the days of point and click adventures, with gears and levers you often have to find and click to activate some other part of the house so that you can delve deeper. You can see the chest here, but you can't jump high enough. When running left at the swinging ball and Crusher room, you will move into the left area along a long wooden floor and you will see a place to drop down onto several small floors. The third chest is in the left area of the level under the long wooden floor. The only way I found to get the third chest may not be what the developer intended, but it worked. This will open the barrier to the chest, which you get to by descending, picking up the second box, jumping up onto the arrow building using the first one, then using the second box to get up onto the roof of that higher building and finally opening that darned locked-up-tight chest! A platform and a ladder will give you access to a second switchplate. Go right back to your other steel box and use the second box to access the roof of a building to the right of the one with an arrow. Pick it up and go left to drop down to the Hobo Clown gang rumble arena. Activate the switchplate there then keep going left to discover another steel box. Jump up on an adobe building, then keep going left using a series of ropes to get up into a cavern. Drop it next to the building with a wooden right arrow on it. Resist your urge to destroy it for potential loot and instead pick it up and carry it to the right.
